Featured prominently in the movie Tomb Raider, Ta Prohm is notable for its jungle setting in which tree roots have become a part of the temple helping maintain its structural integrity. As much a part of the temple, the aesthetics speak to the tranquility that one can achieve when blending architecture and nature, at least in my opinion. Of course, Ta Prohm has been evolving since its construction a millennia ago and the result is what you see below. What's more is that these buildings and facades were carved and assembled by hand, a stunning achievement. How awesome would it have been to have lived in the city when it was in its full glory. Walking freely through the gates and past megalithic structures, how many enjoyed the respite from blazing sun as Roy had done below, contemplating life and just absorbing the tranquility of the scene below while the breeze blows lightly. It would have been a good life.
